Beyond just the eleven major sectors are the industry groups. There is no standardization for sectors or industry groups. Investors Business Daily and Reuters's Baseline are two of the most popular industry group models with IBD covering around 197 industry groups and Baseline approximately 185. Within these industry groups nearly all of the economy as measured by GDP is captured.
