I Don't Care How Stuff Works, I HATE PHYSICS!!!!

I came across this webpage on Facebook. It made me think about trading. 
 
My son is a scientist. He has always been, since a little child. Very obsessive about how and why things work. He never played with toys. He liked his grandfather to garbage pick old computer parts to tinker with. The first book he read, he carried it everywhere, was the repair manual to my 1990 Ford Aerostar. We are talking about a 4 year old here. 
 
The problem is a scientist will fail at trading. One of the reasons my son hates trading with me is I can't explain any of the why to him. I can't quantify this or that, I just know, I accept, and it drives him crazy. 
 
You can spend the rest of your life obsessing over formulas, systems, programs, quants and why or why not something works. Trying to improve this indicator, taking indicators apart, discussing them ad nauseam. It ends up being a futile existence. 
 
You must just learn to accept what does, and then set about using it. Leave the why to the scientist. That is what they are good at. 
 
Your knew mantra needs to be "I Don't Care How Stuff Works. I love Trading". Embrace it before your saying "Stuff doesn't work and I hate Trading."
