Currency Trading Times

The three major Forex trading sessions are as follows (US Eastern Standard Time):

1. New York open 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
2. Japanese/Australian open 7:00 PM to 3:00 AM
3. London open 3:00 AM to 11:00 AM

The best time to trade these markets is usually the time period from 3 AM EST to 11 AM EST. During this time frame the London Market opens at AM followed by the US market at 7AM. Traders find the best trends and moves during this time period. During the 7AM to 11AM time frame, the New York and London markets overlap, creating the highest volatility and greatest trade opportunities.
