What is the Forex?
Forex (FX for short) stands for Foreign Exchange Market and usually refers directly to trading currencies. Currency trading is the worlds largest financial market. It is estimated that over $2 trillion is traded every day. Compare this to the New York Stock Exchange's daily transaction value of approximately $50 billion. The magnitude of the currency trading market exceeds all other equity markets in the world combined.
Until recently, the currency trading market was very closed to the individual investor and trader. Banking conglomerates and large multinationals were the main players. In the past few years, however, new technologies have opened the doors to all investors and traders.
