Where is the Forex Market?

Unlike other financial markets, the forex market has no physical location, building or centralized exchange. It is strictly an over-the-counter market where buyers and sellers including banks, corporations, and private investors conduct business.

Currency trading takes place in the financial trading centers of the world, including New York, London, and Tokyo. This creates one cohesive, international market. All members trade with each other based upon credit agreements. Believe it or not, this has created an efficient well run market, controlling costs and maintaining integrity of the system.
